Fluttershy being herself and encountering an animal she's never seen or heard of before-- a fox-squirrel from Hayao Miyazaki's works such as 'Nausicaa' and 'Castle in the Sky'.

Proportions are more or less correct between the fox-squirrel and Fluttershy, though I think the fox-squirrel could be an inch or two taller. Regardless, I like how this picture came out.

I'm actually really pleased with how this piece came out, and I was trying a few new things, not really noticeable but I like those new things(techniques). :D

EDIT: Drawfriend #688 [link]

UPDATE 1/18/2013 (12:52 A.M. Central Time Zone): Fixed an issue others noticed and notified me with, the picture should look better now. Thanks for the feedback!

My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic belongs to Hasbro and DHX Media, formerly Studio B.

Fox Squirrel belongs to Studio Ghibli Inc.

It's all too easy to die from a heart attack while watching this, but I have to say, Wow. The lighting is one of the best I have seen in many art works, while it looks pretty simple it is exactly what it's supposed to be. great work with pretty much everything, well, minus the forelegs I assume. They look a bit, squarish, don't they?
Ah well, it's not a big deal though! :D

You know, that'd make a good look for a Ground-type evolution for Eevee.
