Took longer than usual because originally, she was in a forest, in the middle of the night with the moon shining down on her, but I decided to scrap that for this because it looked ghastly. (lol who says "ghastly" in a sentence anymore? XD) But yeah, took longer because I pretty much did an entire background and color for Snowdrop, then scrapped it and went back to step one all over again. xD
But aye, ladies and gentleworms, this is Snowdrop, from the fanmade animation from SillyFillyStudios-- be it a grown up version of her. For those of you that have yet to watch it, [link] go forth and prepare your tear-makers!
I don't know what else to say. I've never really drawn snow before, so this was a first. But yeah, enough words in the description~
Snowdrop belongs to SillyFillyProductions.
My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic belongs to Hasbro and DHX Media, formerly Studio B.
Oh yeah, I finally decided to get myself an actual "signature" text of the source on my picture! I'll be using that from now on instead of handwriting it each time. Sheesh, so amateur of me. xD
Snowdrop is my absolute favorite. *smiles*
So well done!! Love it!!
I love your interpretation of Snowdrop here. The effect of her mane blowing in the harsh winds reminds me of icicles after a blizzard. Her wings are excellently sculpted and leave little to imagination, allowing you to really take in the backdrop. A very well balanced artwork of our little Snowdrop.
The mane is windstyled nicely. The wings are approaching a size that even BeatleDude and his pony physics presentation *might* say it's physically possible for those wings to work. Bonus points for blurring th tip of the close wing for the sake of focal range.
Also, her eyes look like they could possible see, but she is looking straight ahead as if there is nothing there.
Finally, the mountains, snow, and trees look convincing to me.
